I put a few hours into this last night while I was meant to be finishing my assignment, using my book The Fundamentals of Drawing for help but no other reference. This was just after a conversation about Drow, Dirvish and various other ideas and suggestions for upcoming D&D characters, and I decided to have a go at drawing mine. I was aiming for the style of the illustrations in the D&D sourcebooks, with stupid amounts of detail and the suchlike, and the runic scripture was about as detailed as I thought I could go. (I have almost no experience of drawing clothing so I left it out, lol!) The character is going to be a Drow, but I was a bit sketched out by the shading (no pun intended) so I left the skin colour out. Given that this is the first time I've ever tried something like this, I'm pretty damn happy with it.

[Dedicated to Andy, for A) the awesome conclusion to the second campaign chapter, and B) being better at drawing than me and making me jealous enough to practice!]

Thank you for the dedication (did I say that right), I've never had one before!

I'm really impressed by your drawing. The details are very nicely done, the hair is good too :P The hair for some reason reminds me of Marina :)

Thanks man, that means a lot :) Marina does have impressively similar hair, maybe I should show her for comparrison ;)

Wow, must have been a lot of work drawing all this little signs onto the ribbon.

As said before it's very detailed and I like that .

(btw: I don't think it needs to be removed to mature content)

Thanks very much :) The runes did take forever to draw...but it was easier than doing any real detail :)

My respect for the detailed work. I really love the sings. They look a bit cyrillic, don't they?
Furthermore I love how you did the hand with the sword in it :heart:

:D Thanks very much! The symbols are loosely based off runestones, but they are a bit cyrillic, I guess :)
I wasn't so keen on the swords and hands, so thanks very much :dance:

i think out of all your works i like this one the most i dont believe ide have the patience to doodle all those runes XP

plus i have horrible hand writing, any way keep up the good work! i found that drawing from other sources like comics and art books help with proportions and such :3
